I am from Arizona and still go back for my facials because I have not found anyone in California to really put the same effort into taking caring of my skin versus trying to sell me more products. This was different experience entirely. Laura listened to what I said about my skin and geared my facial to getting the results I wanted without having to listen to a sales pitch or a lecture of what I should be doing. It was relaxing and effective at the same time. I am pleased to find a place to go to after 15 years of living in the Bay Area. I hope anyone that reads this feels the need to go check it out at least once.Toral P.
I found out about this amazing place through Facebook and decided to check it out since they were offering a great deal as well… And it was worth it! The lady, named Nelly, was fabulous! Not only, she gave me a heavenly facial but also she shared with me excellent tips about skin care. They were attentive and gentle; and the environment was so relaxing. One look at Brandy’s flawless skin gives the assurance that this place knows what they’re doing! Although small and bit difiicult to find in a Los Gatos shopping center Capricious Spa is a hidden gem that takes pride in their services. I had a facial by Brandy and felt so refreshed that it felt like I had a whole body massage. I looked younger tooThe Dermalogica products are heavenly and smell oh-so-good… Definitely wins my vote as a must-visit spa in the bay area!

I am not new to facials, and have been to a number salons in the area over the years. This is by far the best!! The staff is courteous and friendly and the atmosphere is superb. I started to relax the minute I sat down with a fresh cup of cucumber water.I was extremely impressed with Nelly — she is one of the more expert Aestheticians I have ever met.

What a great find for me! I had the Glycolic Pumpkin Peel Facial, and it left my face feeling exceptionally clean and smooth. The staff, Brandi in particular, was helpful and knowledgeable about the procedure and the products she was using. She explained every step so there were no surprises. She also paid attention to how my skin was reacting to the treatment. The whole experience was relaxing and well worth it. I will be back!Judith W.
What a great Groupon find!
I had an absolutely lovely facial today with Nicole. It was so relaxing I fell asleep in the middle of it (while I sat with my mask on), and my skin feels really clean and smooth. The extractions hurt a bit, but it was well worth it.I’ll be back for sure.

My new favorite spa!! I’ve found my new skin care home! Capricious Skin Care has warm and welcoming staff who are more than willing to negotiate with busy schedules. Their services are very reasonably priced and they have a great line of products available. Skin care tends to be a personal topic for many people, but this is a place where you can feel comfortable in your skin. My daughter had her Prom make up done at the spa. I booked so late that Brandi had to work really hard at getting her in for an appointment. She was able to book my daughter with an expert make up artist. Brandi called me back a number of times to fit her in. The spa was beautiful, calm and friendly. Everyone was delightful and treated my daughter like a princess! Just what every prom girl wants to feel like! I will tell you, when we left, she looked like a princess too! I checked out the treatment rooms. They were wonderful. I will be booking treatments for myself very soon!Tricia H

I was given Spa Finder Gift Certificates at work and found Capricious Skin Care, I was very much impressed. It’s not located in the busy “downtown” area of Los Gatos but in a quiet strip mall on the second floor. Brandi did an excellent job on my skin and it was everything and more that I hoped for a facial. I’ve been all over California to different spas and this one is one I would recommend. I love how they don’t push products on your but advise you. I was so relaxed, once I left and that hasn’t happened in a long time. Please check it out!Isabel R.

Love this place! I was so excited to see all the Dermalogica lines there as well as some other moderate priced lines as well, check out the facial bar area that is free! You can sit in the store and play with all the Dermalogica lines, steamers and such, very cool. The spa’s decor is welcoming, sassy and fun at the same time (kind of like the owner and staff) and by the time I left I could feel the tension leaving my body!
I went in for permanent makeup after doing research on this for about 6 months. I choose the staff after seeing the technician’s work on 5 different people, photo’s before, immediately afterward and weeks after the procedures are done. Since it was permanent makeup, I really wanted to be sure of the quality of work and follow up policy as well, something I was very satisfied with both before the procedure began and weeks afterwards.
The procedure took about an hour and the technician (Brandi) was very thorough and willing to answer all my questions and concerns before we started and when we were done. I knew I wanted to go with a warm shade and she was able to custom design a tone that matched my skin tones perfectly, the tone and color are great! Just had someone stop me again yesterday to ask me where I had gotten it done. It’s lovely to just apply some gloss on in the morning and head out the door looking totally ready to go!
